Growing up in his parents’ horse training business, Rainer Peter has been deeply connected to horses and the sport of show jumping since early childhood. This profound passion and keen eye for talented young horses continue to shape all his work as a qualified Pferdewirt and successful international rider.

In 2009, he successfully completed his training as a Pferdewirt (qualified horse manager) in the stables of Matthias Jansen. In the following years, he gained valuable experience in renowned national and international training and sales stables. In 2014, he moved to North Rhine-Westphalia to join the competition and training stable of Axel Wöckener, where he took responsibility for the education and competition presentation of young show jumpers. Through his dedicated, conscientious, and success-oriented work, he built an extensive international network and has since placed numerous talented young horses all over the world.

Together with his life partner Laura Steins, Rainer Peter fulfilled a long-held dream in 2016: they expanded the parental Fohlenhof in Waltrop, North Rhine-Westphalia, into a state-of-the-art sales and training facility. The exclusive property offers excellent conditions with spacious, bright stables, an indoor arena, outdoor riding areas, a horse walker, and generously fenced pastures – ideal for careful, horse-friendly basic training, professional competition preparation, and high-quality presentation of horses at auctions and in private sales.

Thanks to the close family cooperation with Fohlenhof Steins, Rainer Peter can accompany horses uniquely from birth through to finished sport horses – a holistic approach that is only possible in this special constellation. His focus lies in individually and sensitively developing each horse, bringing out its full potential, and sustainably matching horses and riders in the best possible way.
