DIAGO

ABOUT

Diago combines the presence of a licensed stallion with a lovely character and an enthusiastic attitude towards jumping. This eleven-year-old, 1.71 m Holsteiner is attractive, well behaved and straightforward. With extensive competition experience and a recent placing at 1.25 m on 16 October 2026, he is an appealing partner to get on, enjoy and take straight into the ring.

By Dinken, Diago carries the blood of Diarado and Diamant de Semilly on his sire’s side. Casall and Contender add further strength to his maternal pedigree. As a licensed stallion who has already been used for breeding, he combines sporting experience with an interesting breeding perspective.

Under saddle, Diago offers enjoyable rideability and a consistent rhythm around a course. He takes his rider willingly towards the fences, wants to get to the other side and combines considerable scope with carefulness. His competition career has so far been limited to approximately 1.25–1.30 m. At our yard, he has also demonstrated his ability over bigger fences. Based on that impression, we believe progression to higher levels is a realistic prospect with a capable rider and suitable preparation.

Diago is also well behaved at competitions and straightforward in the warm-up with other horses. He may occasionally call, but for a stallion previously used for breeding, he is particularly uncomplicated and manageable. His friendly character makes him a pleasant partner in everyday handling too.

His combination of looks, rideability, current competition experience and breeding appeal also makes him interesting for international buyers, including those in the United States and the Middle East.

A transparent note on his physical condition: Diago has a hoof wall crack on the inside of his left front hoof. His future farrier should take this into account when shoeing him and provide appropriate support for the hoof.
