ASTERIX

ABOUT

Asterix combines the striking presence of a stallion with enjoyable rideability and proven quality in the jumping ring. Although a gelding, this seven-year-old Oldenburg has the expressive appearance and presence often associated with Armison offspring. His rhythmic canter, very good flying changes and willing attitude make him an appealing partner for amateurs and juniors, as well as an interesting equitation prospect.

By Armison out of the Vivant mare Lana, Asterix offers an interesting jumping pedigree. He demonstrated his sporting ability early, qualifying for the German Young Horse Championships as a five-year-old. His record now includes wins in young horse classes at L level, placings at M level and placings in regular jumping classes up to 1.30 m.

Around a course, Asterix takes his rider to the fences in a pleasant way and maintains a consistent rhythm. His fluent flying changes help create smooth lines and harmonious rounds. Combined with his attractive appearance, these qualities make him particularly interesting for equitation and the American market. He is equally appealing as an amateur or junior jumper with potential for further training.

Away from competition, Asterix is sweet-natured and pleasant to handle. He also enjoys hacking in the woods, where he is confident and does not tend to spook or look at his surroundings. A charming package of presence, quality and versatility.
